F.A.C.T.S. GUEST - Mauricet
Present in : 2009

ONLY ON SUNDAY

Mauricet got his interest in comics from his parents. From the age of five, he knew he wanted to be a comic artist. In 1980, he entered the Academy of Fine Arts. There, he learned the finer points of the comic profession from Eddy Paape. In 1988, Mauricet made his debut in Spirou. He worked for this magazine for a period of nine years, creating series like 'Les Rastafioles' and 'Cosmic Patrouille'. This second series is a parody on super-heroes like the X-Men, Spider-man and Batman.

Mauricet then went to work in the USA, where he cooperated on an issue of 'Adventures of Superman', as well as 'Tales of Tellos' at Image Comics. He then returned to the franco-belgian comics scene and began the children's horror series 'Mort de Trouille' with scripts by Virginie Vanholme at Casterman in 2000. In addition, he does the mini series 'The Crossovers' for the American publisher Crossgen Comics. Besides his comics work, he works with computer games. His credits include Lemmings, Deathtrap and also some Amiga and Atari-games.

Guests appear subject to work commitments and good health. Their presence at F.A.C.T.S. can thus, sadly enough, be cancelled at any moment.
