After his acting debut in Modern Family as a child actor in 2010, and his film debut in 2013 in Jake Squared, Tannen Buchanan went on to be cast in Disney Channel and Nickelodeon series such as Girl Meets World and Game Shakers. He then landed the role of Leo Kirkman, son of the US President Thomas Kirkman, in the political conspiracy series Designated Survivor, and as Jack Downey in The Fosters, both in 2016.

But his most recognisable role is arguably his latest role as Robby Keene, Johnny Lawrence’s estranged son, in Netflix’ Cobra Kai series, a spin-off of the Karate Kid franchise.
