Since 2019, illustrator and graphic designer Johanna Breuch has dedicated her artistic focus solely to the world of cats. As The Printed Cat she creates whimsical illustrations and transforms them into a range of usable products such as t-shirts, tote bags, greeting cards and sticker.

Her art is cute, colorful, whimsical, and aims to make you smile. Captivated by their quirky behavior, Johanna’s art often depicts cats in amusing scenarios, showing them being annoyed with actions of their owner, substituting cats for humans in our everyday life or adding a second layer in the form of text.

Products by The Printed Cat are made to be as durable as possible. From waterproof vinyl stickers to hand-screen-printed organic cotton t-shirts, each item is designed to last. T-Shirts, sweaters and tote bags are hand screen-printed in her studio in Leiden, where she produces only a small amount of them at a time to avoid any deadstock.

The Printed Cat is Johanna’s creative outlet for her love of cats. If her boyfriend wasn’t allergic, she’d likely have adopted every cat by now.
