Demo 'Don't try this at home'

Technopolis is a Belgian non‑profit science center with a clear mission: everything starts with WOW. We aim to be the gateway to science and technology by amazing children, engaging young people and inspiring adults. Because that’s where it all begins! When you succeed in fascinating people, they are much more likely to start experimenting, exploring and discovering. At FACTS, we translate this mission into the world of fantasy, animation, comics, toys and science fiction. How can science and technology be used to enrich our own interests and passions? To answer this question, Technopolis presents the demo “Don’t try this at home” at FACTS. During this thrilling show full of fire, smoke and action, visitors are actively involved in experiments that are better not tried at home. Under professional supervision, we set hands on fire, experiment with dry ice and make fire appear… out of a book. Wonder and spectacle guaranteed! In addition, visitors to FACTS can also meet Wify, the robot dog. Wify walks around, gives paw, sits, lies down and even jumps — a playful and interactive way to discover the possibilities of robotics up close.
