Mike “Mooch” Lachimia is an American artist and former special effects (SFX) makeup artist. For over ten years, he worked at the renowned KNB EFX Group in California, a studio known worldwide for its work in horror and fantasy productions. During that time, he was involved in numerous projects, including the makeup and special effects for the hit series The Walking Dead, where he helped create the iconic zombie transformations that gave the series its signature visual style.

After his career in film and television, Lachimia has focused more on his own art practice. He creates illustrations, paintings, and custom collectibles that often have a strong horror and monster influence—a clear legacy of his background in visual effects.
