David Dastmalchian is an American actor and writer, born on July 21, 1975. He is known for his versatility and his often eccentric or dark roles in both major blockbusters and independent films. He holds a prominent position within the superhero genre: he played Kurt, the hacker and comedic sidekick in Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp (Marvel), and played Polka-Dot Man in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad (DC). He also had roles in films such as The Dark Knight (2008) and Dune (2021), where he played Piter De Vries. Dastmalchian also has experience as a comic book writer, including his own series, Count Crowley.
